Yesterday, my school had a celebration for the Chinese New Year. But before the celebration, there were still classes until 9:30am, which meant that my class still had to go for DnT (Design and Technology) lesson. Well, let's just skip that part as nothing really interesting happened then.
After the lesson, we were given a 30 minutes break. I had my usual meal, which is the chicken chop with potato wedges. Why do I always eat that? Well, maybe it's just because I'm just too close-minded. After the break, all students were asked to gather in the hall, and that's when the celebration started.
The celebration began with the prize presentation for those who had good progress in their studies. Then, prizes were given out to those who had excelled in their CCAs (Co-Curriculum Activities). After that, three students from class 2A presented to us a show based-on science. However, due to some technical error, the microphone was not working. So, the three poor boys had to shout for us to hear them.
Then, I group of Chinese boys presented to us a skit in Mandarin. The show seemed very interesting. However, due to my inability to understand Mandarin, I could not understand a thing the boys were saying. After that, some old folks that the school had invited came on stage to sing. Despite of their old age, I was very impressed by their beautiful voices.
At the end of the celebration, all the performers and the other students who had helped out came on stage to sing along with the old folks. And that's how the celebration ended.
Even though the celebration only lasted for 2 hours, I felt that it was one of the best celebrations I had ever been to.
